From Roots to Tips
Born in Newark, New Jersey, Elisha developed her interest in styling hair at the age of 18. Since then she advanced her skill by enrolling to a professional hair education, joining hair competitions, and training from recognized and celebrated hair stylists and brands in the country.
In 2007 she tied the knot with Darren Heard, who saw Elisha’s potential as a competitive hair stylist at par with the best in the hair industry. They joined hair competitions across America and won them; they collaborated with industry photographers and models for creative showcase; and they have landed several print credits from major magazines like Vibe and Play.
The couple’s vision of bringing Elisha to mainstream hair industry is turning into a success. After winning industry competitions and earning accolades from prominent hair experts in the industry and participating in bridal expos and hair fashion events.
Elisha is quickly becoming a sought-after hair stylist in the region thus being featured on the cover of Hair Salon Magazine was just the start of it.

The Defining Beauty Salon Suites, established in 2007 is the preferred salon of working professionals in Hinesville, Georgia. With a great number of salon goers and its impressive success, it branched to other businesses conglomerating all the needs in the hair and fashion industry: hair products, creative showcase, modeling, and education – all aspiring to become the Defining Beauty brand.
